The devil may have secret control of
many areas of your life. Unforgiveness opens the door and gives satan control in Christian’s lives
and he does it so smoothly you probably won’t recognize it. You will get deadly sick and not even
associate it with the unforgiveness you have for someone. When we refuse to forgive, we are giving
satan the advantage in our lives because we remove our shield of faith by willfully
disobeying God’s Will. Any other
disobedience of God’s Word will also result in giving satan the advantage by
removing our shield of faith.
Proverbs 26:28a, “A lying tongue hateth those that
are afflicted by it…” When we lie, we are allowing the spirit of the devil to
control our tongue deceitfully.
James 1:19, “…Be swift to hear, slow to speak,
slow to wrath.” Psalms 37:8, “Cease
from anger, forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.”
2 Corinthians 2:10-11,-- Forgive others lest you give satan advantage (in your life.)
Ephesians 4:26-27, “Be angry and sin not: let not the
sun go down upon your wrath: (27) Neither
give place to the devil (in your life.)”
John 10:10a, “The thief (devil) cometh not, but
for to steal, and to kill , and to destroy:”
Proverbs 26:2b, “so the curse causeless shall not
come.” The sicknesses and other curses in your life are now just natural things
because everyone else has them, satan has brought them because somewhere back
in your past you opened the door of disobedience and let the devil come in with
the curses.
We open
ourselves for the devil to bring curses into our lives (bodies) by failing to
forgive and holding on to anger. His
curses are arguments to separate families and friends, sicknesses, and many
other things to cheat or harm you, see
Deut 28 for the curses. Do you see
your curse in the list? The devil will
do anything he can to disrupt our lives and cause harm. Many people are sick because they have held
unforgiveness and allowed the devil to bring curses into their lives and they
wonder why they can’t get an answer from God for healing.
Get deliverance from the devil and
unforgiveness: If you have anyone who has hurt or harmed you
in any way and you think you cannot forgive them, I think we all know it is
God’s will for us to forgive, SO what you do is: 1. Ask God to help you forgive, 2. Every time you think of the person, pray for God to bless them
and then 3. pray for your personal
problems and needs.
Job did that
in Job 42:10, “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his
friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
And in James
4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God (praying for His help to forgive the
person). Resist the devil, and he will flee.”
There will
come a day that you will truly want to see the person blessed, and then you
will know you have forgiven the person, or have your heart right with God to
forgive the person if they ever asked your forgiveness. Don’t choose to live
with unforgiveness and allow the devil to have control of your life and block
your answers to prayer any longer.
